Chisel Pointer
Pendu chisel pointers put a smooth, clean chisel point on each piece. Load the magazine and the machine takes it from there, feeding, pointing, and clearing waste on its own.
They handle stock from ½" to 4" and 12" to 48" long, at up to 2,800 pieces an hour on 2x4. A cam drive pushes each piece through twin blades, pneumatic hold-downs keep it steady through the cut, and waste leaves on an inclined belt instead of piling up at the machine.
If your material or your output falls outside that, tell us. These get built to the application.
Three things tell us what your pointer needs to be.
Material Size: The thickness and width of the stock you're pointing.
Length Range: Your shortest and longest piece.
Output: How many pieces an hour you need coming off the machine.
Options include an end trim blade to cut stakes to length in the same pass, and a hydraulic elevator drive.
FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I need a pencil point instead of a chisel point?
That's a different machine. Pendu builds pencil pointers as well, with a different size range and a different cutting method. Tell us which point your customer wants and we'll put you on the right one.
Can it cut my stakes to length too?
Yes, with the optional end trim blade. If you're currently cutting to length in a separate operation, that's worth asking about.
Where does the waste go?
Out on an 18” wide inclined waste belt with its own drive. It's part of the machine, not something you add later.
What if my stock is heavier or longer than what's listed?
Tell us the dimensions. The sizes on this page are where the machine runs today, not the end of what's possible.
